Description
This 1961 Ford Falcon is a base-model two-door sedan that was built at the Kansas City, Missouri plant and is powered by a 170ci “Special Six” inline-six mated to a three-speed manual transmission mounted on the column. Finished in Powder Blue over a matching vinyl interior, the car retains its clean, minimalist design and lightweight chassis—hallmarks of the first-generation Falcon.
Originally introduced as Ford’s compact economy car, the Falcon found success for its simplicity, efficiency, and drivability. This example shows 61,273 miles and equipment includes steel wheels with chrome hubcaps, vent windows, and basic instrumentation, along with an AM radio and bench seating.
Purchased new in 1961, this example has been passed down through the original family and has undergone a high-quality restoration, bringing it to its current and outstanding condition. Whether preserved as a nostalgic cruiser or used as a base for a period-style build, this early Falcon offers a charming and affordable entry into 1960s motoring.
