Description
It's not every day that a Black on Black '69 Camaro 4spd RestoMod populates online outside of the usual big-block auction houses, yet this one is right here in the Franklin, TN vicinity. This is a striking solid performer that will take you anywhere.
OPTIONS: PS, Pwr Disc Brakes at frt. Drum Brakes at rear. Vintage Air. 4spd trans. 350-V8 Crate Motor, American Racing Wheels, Tilt Column. 35,000 miles (TMU). This owner has added 13k miles from new. Leather-wrapped 3-spoke wheel. New Exhaust. Not an RS, SS or COPO, but a pretty nice ride.
EXTERIOR: Exterior is all solid sheet metal, repainted black and in my view is a strong 8.5 for its merits. No ugly paint imperfections or damage. No missing parts. Good panel fitment. The rear floor pan was the only area with a hint of rust and it has been replaced. Cowl-style metal hood. Brightwork is all present and nice looking. Windshield is tinted/shaded. No evidence of any stone chips. I note the grille has missing paint (easy to remedy).
INTERIOR: Interior has a bone-stock original appearance, save for the aftermarket sport steering wheel and other aftermarket additions-----gauges, shifter etc. There is a small tear in driver seatbase that has been covered up with black tape (not terrible). Headliner appears to be original with only mild wrinkles evident with age. Carpet appears to be original and in good shape (no heel-pad wear or seat bolster wear). No unusual odors or sounds except for the expectant rumble the 350 V8 Crate Motor Delivers nicely.
MECHANICAL: The car was purchased by current owner 10 years ago just as you see it. It was always intended to be a driver. It has American Racing 15" Aluminum wheels all around. Good tread on tires. A new 350-V8 balanced/blue-printed crate motor was installed with all the optimal accessory chrome and only has about 13k miles on it. 4-speed manual Transmission was in great shape and a new clutch was installed and performs fine thru all shifts. No "clutch chatter" etc. The engine bay is clean and looks correct for its aftermarket mods. Adding to the enjoyment, Vintage Air was added by the current owner and works great (v. cold). The car starts easily, has a rumble that you'd expect, and is a great driver that will take you anywhere literally.
